On behalf of the Regis community, welcome to the Pride! My name is Kristin Barrett and I'm a senior Marketing and Communications major with minors in Business Management, Journalism, and Media Studies from Plymouth, Massachusetts. Regis has given me the opportunity to thrive in so many ways, including participating in Student Government, joining the Track and Field team, studying abroad in Germany, and serving as a Resident Assistant.
The experiences I have had, skills I've gained, and friendships I've made at Regis will follow me long after I graduate. As you begin preparing for your own Regis journey, I want to share some of my favorite things about being a member of the Pride:
Our family-oriented community: Since my first campus tour, I immediately knew that Regis would be my home away from home.
Our campus traditions: From Founders' Day and Convocation to Regis Fest and the Christmas Tree Lighting, there is always something happening on campus. My favorite day of the year is volunteering at the Regis Children's Center for Founders' Day!
The library!: My favorite place on campus is the second floor of the library. After becoming a tutor, I spent a lot of my time tutoring in the Learning Commons, which quickly became my favorite place to do work with friends.
Our admission staff: Their support throughout the college process was so impactful and motivated me to make the most out of my college experience inside and outside of the classroom.
Our student-athlete community: Being a part of the athletic community at Regis not only allows me to compete in a sport I enjoy, but also learn valuable lessons I will keep with me for the rest of my life.
There is so much for you to look forward to at Regis. As someone who was in your shoes not too long ago, my biggest piece of advice would be to get involved right away! Never doubt yourself, always keep a positive mindset, work hard, and most importantly, don't be afraid to ask for help.
Congratulations,
Kristin Barrett '24
P.S. Don't forget to register for Orientation on July 16-17. You'll meet new friends, make connections, learn about your new home, and have fun doing it!
