Dear Regis students,

We are excited for your return to campus in January. We recognize there is a significant amount of important information included in this email and appreciate you taking the time to review it. If you have any questions about our COVID-19 testing protocol, please visit our website or contact covid19@regiscollege.edu or health.services@regiscollege.edu.

All students, faculty, and staff returning to the Weston campus in the spring are required to participate in Regis’ mandatory weekly COVID-19 testing using a PCR nasal swab. The process is quick, painless, and an important part of the university's campus safety protocol. Santi Pedraza Novak '23 takes us through the testing process in this brief video.

Testing Protocol Overview

  • You are required to schedule and complete your first COVID-19 test one week prior to your first class on campus. This will allow enough time for you to receive a negative test result before you need to resume activities on campus.

  • Upon receiving your first test, you will need to leave campus until you have obtained a negative test result from The Broad Institute in conjunction with CareEvolve.

  • Upon entering the testing protocol, you will be required to test weekly to remain in compliance.

  • Graduate students who are not on campus on a weekly basis must receive a negative test result the week before their on-campus class. The test must be either a PCR or Antigen test and can be done on the Regis campus or at a testing center near their residence.

  • Students who are not tested by Regis must submit a negative test result to health.services@regiscollege.edu prior to arriving on campus. Students should plan on being tested a second time while on campus. For more clarification, reach out to your program director or covid19@regiscollege.edu.

  • Out-of-state graduate students who are not on campus on a weekly basis must comply with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts COVID-19 travel guidelines.

How to Schedule Your COVID Test

  • Please use our online system to schedule your testing appointments for each week of the spring semester. Testing for faculty, staff, and undergraduate students will take place on:
    • Mondays and Fridays: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
    • Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Weekend times are designed specifically for graduate students and their faculty in addition to the weekday time frames outlined above:
    • Saturdays: 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

    Important Reminders

    • You must bring your Regis ID to every testing appointment.

    • Prior to your arrival to campus for the spring semester, please sign the attached consent form that allows you to participate in our testing protocol. You can either sign this and bring it to your first testing appointment or scan a signed copy to health.services@regiscollege.edu.

    • You are also required to complete this brief tutorial to learn more about best practices for preventing the spread of COVID-19 before returning to campus.

    • If you are under the age of 30, you must obtain a flu shot no later than December 31, 2020.
      • The flu vaccine requirement applies to all full-time and part-time health science students, regardless of age.
      • Submit documentation for your flu shot through CastleBranch.
      • If you do not have access to CastleBranch, submit your flu shot documentation to health.services@regiscollege.edu before your arrival to campus.

If You Are Experiencing COVID-19 Symptoms

    • You should not return to campus if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, or have been in direct close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. In addition, please notify Health Services of these updates by calling 781.768.7290.

    • Prior to arriving to campus each day, please use the free CDC symptom checker app to monitor your symptoms. Continue to check your symptoms daily while on campus.

If You Have Tested Positive for COVID-19

    • If you were positive for COVID-19 within 90 days of arriving to campus but are not symptomatic AND have been approved by your health care provider to no longer be in isolation, please submit documentation from your health care provider to health.services@regiscollege.edu at least one week before you move onto campus. Those who fall into this category may be exempt from the testing protocol for the 90 days following the positive test result.

    • If you test positive for COVID-19, you will receive a call from Health Services who will provide next steps for you to take, in collaboration with the Board of Health.

We thank you for your efforts to support our Regis Pride Pledge by adhering to the many intricacies of the testing protocol on campus. Your participation in this protocol is essential to our safety and well-being.

As always, please direct any questions to covid19@regiscollege.edu or health.services@regiscollege.edu.

We look forward to seeing you soon,
