Parent and Family Newsletter

MAY 2021

Dear Regis parents and families,

This time of the year is always my favorite--it is filled with joy as we celebrate our seniors for all their hard work! We are incredibly proud of our students and were thrilled to be able to acknowledge their accomplishments, even if the events looked different this year. Senior Week was a wonderful time filled with award ceremonies, recognitions of our students, and celebrations for their success on this journey. We wish them the best in the years that lie ahead, and we hope that they can continue celebrating with their families and loved ones. They certainly deserve all the praise and gratitude for their outstanding work throughout their Regis careers!

With Pride,

Fall 2021 Plans

President Hays shared a message with the community in March outlining our fall 2021 plans. It is our intention to return to all in-person classes, full capacity in the residence halls, all employees back on campus, and in-person events and athletic competitions.

Our Health Services staff will continue to test, track, and trace cases of COVID-19 to reduce the spread of the virus on our campus, and may modify the testing process as needed. A decision regarding mandated vaccinations has not yet been reached.

The Regis leadership team and our COVID-19 response working group are diligently working on these plans and will share more details in the coming months. The latest information on Regis' response to the pandemic can be found here.

Alumna Sticks it to COVID at Fenway Park

She may not have been outfitted with the iconic Red Sox uniform and “B” cap, but Regis College alumna Susan Katz Sliski ’02, ’12, managed a team of healthcare professionals at Fenway Park this year, supervising the mass COVID-19 vaccination site at the historic stadium where about 69,000 shots were administered.

“It has been an amazing experience,” said Katz Sliski. “Everyone who came to Fenway for the vaccine was referred to as a guest of Red Sox Nation and treated with dignity and respect.”
