NOVEMBER 2020

Dear Regis parents and families,

The holiday season is one of our favorite times of the year. It is traditionally filled with the joy of reuniting with loved ones, the comfort of a dimly lit Christmas Tree or a Menorah, the familiarity of the recipes and meals that we love to enjoy together, and the rest that is much deserved after a long semester of hard work and learning.

We know that 2020 has brought many challenges to our lives personally, physically, mentally, and professionally. We also know that the holidays will look different this year as we seek ways to celebrate safely. However, some things will remain the same this season. We will still have the opportunity to practice gratitude, to reach out to loved ones, to find time for rest and self-reflection, to re-connect with our own spirituality (whatever that might be for us), and to enjoy our homes and those whom we share it with.

For this reason, we encourage you to lean into those practices that we still are able to engage in. To practice gratitude and focus on the beauty and joy that surrounds us. For us, Regis is part of that beauty and joy – and we continue to be grateful for this community and all that it offers. We hope this newsletter gives you a glimpse at all that has been going on in our community and that it allows you to be grateful for it as well. We invite you to enjoy this special Thanksgiving message from Fr. Paul.

We also wanted to share a bittersweet update from Marsha: As I prepare to retire from Regis, and as this will be my last parent and family newsletter, I am most grateful for the four wonderful years I have spent with remarkable students, faculty, administrators, and staff. I have been blessed with an amazing final chapter in my higher education career. I wish everyone good health and a happy and safe holiday season.

With gratitude,
