Dear Students,

I know you are working hard to finish up the semester and prepare for exams beginning next week.

A number of students have elected to be off campus for exams or are planning to take exams in their residence hall room. Below is a list of socially distanced, on-campus spaces where you may also choose to sit for your remote exam.

Because we have created spaces where students will be socially distanced, we will not need to use seating charts to track who is present. So, please do not move chairs or furniture in these rooms throughout next week. We also expect students to respect one another’s needs, to mask as required, and to keep these spaces as distraction-free as possible.

If you choose to use one of the non-socially distanced computer labs, you will be asked to complete a sign-in sheet near the computer, including your name and time spent in that space. Those records will be essential if we have to trace close contacts of any individuals using the lab who might test positive afterwards.

Please know that to date we do not believe there has been spread of COVID-19 through classroom contacts, but we must be prepared to inform potential close contacts so they can be monitored, tested, and cleared.

Good luck in all your end-of-semester pursuits. I hope you have a wonderful and very merry Christmas, as we all look forward to a bright and happy 2022!
