As we continue to see a decrease in COVID-19 cases in Massachusetts and no evidence of additional spread on campus, the Working Group is announcing the following rollbacks of on-campus pandemic protocols.
On-Campus Mask Policy
Beginning Tuesday, March 15, masks will be optional for everyone in classrooms and labs. Masks are no longer required on Regis-operated vans and buses effective immediately. Masks will still be required in a select number of other campus spaces such as the Dental Center, Autism Center, and select areas of Counseling and Health Services.
Anyone who chooses to continue wearing a mask while on campus has the full support of the Regis community. Both KN95 and N95 masks will be available for community members who wish to access them. Masks can be obtained by contacting Ken Ryan, director of purchasing.
Residential Guest Policy
Residential students are now allowed to host one non-Regis guest in the residential spaces. The Regis student host must complete a guest registration form which again outlines the policy and asks for confirmation that the Regis student host has confirmed that the non-Regis guest:
Is fully vaccinated, or has a negative antigen test from the day of arrival, or is in a 90 day immunity post COVID-19 positive test
Is not experiencing COVID-19 symptoms nor has been in contact with someone who has tested positive in the past 14 days
Daily Symptom Screening & Testing
Daily symptom screening in CoVerified is still required for those who live, learn, and work on campus. Community members should fill out your daily symptom checker prior to coming to campus or leaving your residence hall
As a reminder, weekly testing is still available at Health Services for all campus community members on a voluntary basis, as well as for those who are symptomatic, a close contact, or have an approved vaccine exemption from the university as directed by Health Services. Testing is offered by appointment only.
